Is it possible to have more earning with less clicks?

And if so, why?

If earnings seem to increase with a lot less clicks and page views, this means: ... er... what? Sorry, but I don't get it and I am worried this may mean something bad going on under the hood.

It means you are getting paid more per ads on your site.

Could just mean a new advertiser or advertisers started in your segment and it raised the going rate.

It could mean you are delivering higher converting traffic and smart-clicking is not penalizing you like it might have been before.

Or it could mean that his lost traffic were only tyre kickers, and they either didnt click, or didnt buy. So now smart pricing is not hammering him (as much!)

Quality of traffic is far more important than quantity.

If you get 1000 people in your car showroom because they were misdirected, they dont help = 0 sales.

If you get ten customers that were advised to buy from your showroom by another respected car dealer then all might buy! All convert!

They are pre qualified interested people actually looking to buy a car. So something like a minor search engine change or a link from a very targetted site can make big changes too.

All ads are not created equally. In a set of 4 ads on a 728x90 block, one ad might be worth .50, one might be .15, another .20, and another .05

Earnings are not on clicks alone, but which ads are actually clicked.

And if you add a CPM campaign into the mix, then clicks are less relevant to the conversation.
