Advertisors links on adsense

I read two hours worth of this forum. great threads! Anyhow, I noticed in some threads where people was unhappy about advertisers having web url links on adsense.

It lead me to this question.

When customizing the adsense in your google control panel, could you not just make the url link the same color as the background color?

That way it will disappear.

Is this against google's policy?

Yes it is against G's TOS, and from memory the control panel does not allow it either.

It does allow the link to be same as the background from the control panel.

But I don't know if it will be implemented when on a page, I didn’t try it because I too think it is against the policy.

But why have the option then?.
