Anyone seen any appear as yet?

Aren't they leaving it a little late for crimbo as there are only three shopping days left?

I've only seen Halloween ones a few months ago. No christmas ones yet.

There's a new post at the AdSense blog [adsense.blogspot.com] saying the winter holiday ads will soon start appearing and remain until December 26th.

I've activated the themed ad units and I'm wondering how they will affect the CTR.

There is a problem with the seasonal ads. Some of them aren't displaying properly. I'm sending a screen capture to Google since I can't post it here.

I just saw them in a 336x280 adblock on my site. Even though they use their own color scheme which is different than my usual, they look great. Cute too.

at the moment, the ads seem to rotate:
- bright background/black text with xmas icons
- publisher selected background/black text(!) with xmas icons
- default ad

are they experimenting with that yet?

i hope so, since on my sites (dark background) they look like crap! black text on dark background with bright icons looks very cheap and is quite impossible to read. whew, that will hurt my ctr.. there is a problem for sure.

do they change your border color? since many of us use the blending technique with no border, do they add one to complement the scheme?

i also blend the borders, but they add a bright border.
the dark background seems to be unintended. i think they'll work on the problem..

elsewhen, the 336x280 adblock is the large rectangle. :)

Yes, they change the border color to a light blue. They look good on a light background.
