I have the adsense plug-in on my google toolbar. Every couple of days it shows that I have earned $.01 without an clicks. How is this possible? Where are the earnings coming from?

CPM ads generate income without clicks, they generate income with each impression.

When AdWords started with CPM ads some months ago the minimum bid price was $2 per 1000 impressions. But they have since lowered this minimum and combined with smart pricing the earnings from CPM ads can be quite miserable, even lower than $0.50 per 1000 impressions.
