Based on spaceylacie advice [webmasterworld.com] I switched to square instead of leaderboard and wide skyscraper.

Well it worked great for my main page probably because of plenty of text, but my other pages still suck!

From what I can see problem is that my content because of reference to geographical locations is triggering wrong ads type - tourism and real estate! Maybe a dream for somebody but a nightmare for me since nobody is clicking these ads.

So is there any other way of blocking these ads beside blocking each site or rewriting my entire content.

Check on AdSense site for information on "section targeting."

That may or may not help.

You might try Adlink units. They work on certain pages that the regular adblocks don't.

"Section targeting" would make sense if I didn't need to exclude every third word, I guess nothing is going to save me from rewriting big part of the content. :-(

If you can't find good targetting on some of your pages, you might consider using other methods of monetizing those pages. Adsense is not the best solution in many cases, so sometimes it is worthwhile to pursue other avenues for those pages which are not a good fit with adsense.

Try Adlink units before you give up. I have seen them displaying a fairly wide range of keywords, and so you might get at least one or two out of the four or five that was relevant, and when visitors clicked, they would then only see relevant ads....

You might like to try experimenting with altering the text on your pages with bad targetting. Maybe adding more text with relevant keywords, and seeing if there are any words in your existing text that might be triggering the wrong ads. That isn't an easy one to do!

To work out what section of your page is triggering the irrelevant ads, try cutting your page into sections as trial pages and see if the smaller sections generate more relevant ads. That way you can see what section of the page is generating the wrong ads and work on a re-write of that bit alone.

If you genuinely feel that the targetting is wrong, drop adsense support a line and ask them to look at it - but I'd try some experimentation first to make sure.
