Contests?

To increase some traffic I am thinking about holding monthly contests on my site for Prizes whether it be money or an item. Would this be against G's TOS to hold these types of things? I don't think it would be against TOS since I am not pointing any fingers at the ads or bringing any unwanted attention.

Sounds okay to me, but I'd ask Google first.
BTW, I once heard another member say he did a contest every month. The only thing people had to do was fill out a survey to enter. He said it was a great way to get to know his users.

Personally, I don't do anything to encourage repeat visitors, because they are less likely to click ads than new visitors. I don't know about your site, but the ads on my site have not changed much over the past year, and I've noticed that pages that tend to get repeat visitors have a lower CTR than pages that get a lot of search engine traffic, which is usually new visitors....
