I'm seeing a higher ctr today. This could be because of the title of the ads now with bigger fonts, making them stand out. Are you seeing this as well?

No, not my site that I just looked at. The fonts look to be the same. Are you sure the font is bigger?

seomasta,
I'm talking about my adsense ctr, getting higher as a result of google changed the font of ads appearing on my site.

Heh, I made a second look again and I think my eyes got blurred when I saw it. But my ctr is a about 30% higher today, there must be other reason for it.

Some ads do appear with bigger fonts - I think they are the CPM expanded text fonts.

Clicks and earnings for CPM ads are mixed in with normal PPC stats. Our experience suggested that, with CPM ads, CTR may go up but earnings go down (and many others have suggested here that CPM ads depress earnings). This seems to be supported by the fact that we opted out of CPM ads a week ago and since then CTR has gone down and earnings up, despite numbers of visitors being the same or a little bit lower.

Actually there was a discussion about this in the AdWords forum. Google DOES seem to be testing a slightly larger font in some ads--I've seen it in the vertical skyscraper. And I think it has meant a slightly higher CTR.

Blue - Can you explain how it is possible to opt out of CPM ads? I dont remember ever being given this option and cannot sinf a way to do this in my account! I beleive my huge decrease in earnings are due to the increase of CPM ads...

Stewart,
Just email Google Adsense support, and they let you opt-out.
