Hi everyone,

I would like to share something regarding my sites in this forum.

I mostly depends on Adsense so I am worried about the decreased results & performance of my sites.

Recently, I increased the adwords cost to drive the targeted traffic towards my sites. It only gives me the break even results or sometimes I am at loss. I don't know where the problem exists with my adsense and adwords campaigns.

My CTR, Page ranking is very low. In the past I earned something with the low cost but now when I increased the advertising cost I am earning less.

Can anyone help me by giving guidance, tips and sharing useful information that how can I increase the adsense earning, CTR, improve the adsense and adwards, grab the best ads, use the good keywords and optimize the performance of my Adsense sites.

I will really appreciate any kind of help in this matter.

Thanks

Hobbs

kashifkb,
posting the question once is more than enough, as I said in your second post, do some leg work and read this forum you will find the advice you are looking for.

You will need at least 3 months of earnings to get a good idea if Adwords pays off in Adsense income. I started it about 5 months ago and at first saw an almost 3x adsense income from adwords expense. For example if I spent $100.00 in adwords, I got $300.00 in adsense income.
That unfortunetely didnt continue. After about 6 months of doing this, I can say that my return has averaged about 1.5x-not losing money but not making as much as I thought I would.
Like everyone here has said before-it's not going to be easy. Content, useful information, easy to use website, search engine friendly, updates, links, diversify your ads, know your keywords.
After about 1 year of doing this, I am making about $400.00 a month after all expenses. Not ready to retire yet, but in another year, I should be up to $1,000.00 month which will allow me some alternatives to my regular job

You have to master adword so this strategy could work for long term. Google knows what you're doing. You are probably bidding cheap irrelevant keywords to your site, Google uses traffic source as one of the factors in determining how much they will charge ads appearing on your site and the payout to you.

googles response to these adwords to adsense arbitrage players is called

smart pricing.

sooner or later you will get your whole account smart priced. seems kind short sighted to do that to your account. but he, what do I know.

Where did you get that from?
Are you saying that if the majority of your traffic originates from Google serps they will charge less for the ads and you will get paid less? That's like Google shooting itself in the foot if what you are saying is true.

No, I didn't say that. Obviously, if your traffic comes from google serp, your website is relevant to what the users are searching.

It's different when you bid on adwords for lots of .03 irrelevant keywords to your financial website. When a user click an ad on your website (to exit), I believe google won't charge advertiser that much and you get paid less as well, because google knows this click is unlikely to make a sale.

Google itself supports these money loops. Google itself has published case strudies of Adsense in which webmasters are getting paid traffic on pages with Adsense code hosted.

SmartPricing just effects if your traffic is of no use to Google and its not converting.

kashifkb, You need to be very expert while playing with this Money loop trick. Its for Experts only. Better start with earning from Organic traffic first. Then deal with Paid Traffic.

In case of paid traffic, everything shud be carefully calculated. Only making out "Average how much you earned at the end" isnt at all enough. Start from CTR.
