Can I have Yahoo ads if not on the same page as AdSense?

AdSense TOS are not clear to me

I have the impression from discussions here that it's OK to have Yahoo ads as long as we don't put them on the same page as AdSense. I just want to be certain. At one time I had the impression we couldn't even put them on the same site.

I am really happy with AdSense lately but I hate to have all my eggs in one basket so I'd like to try Yahoo.

You can have Yahoo on other pages of your site - just not on the AdSense pages.

That is the $65,000 question. In this thread the posts went from YES -> NO -> UNCERTAIN

AdSense TOS is like the Holy Bible, many interpretations. I would also like to know. I have been accepted into the YPN, but am yet to add the code to any pages.

This is from AdSense TOS, although I highlighted the bold text.

Competitive Ads and Services

We do not permit Google ads or search boxes accessing Google search services to be published on web pages that also contain what could be considered competing ads or services. If you have elected to receive contextually-targeted Google ads, this would include all other contextually-targeted ads or links on the same page as Google ads. This would also include ads throughout the site that mimic Google ads or otherwise appear to be associated with Google on your site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads do not mimic Google ads. If you have elected to receive Google search services, this would include other search services on the same site and non-Google query-targeted ads. We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.

The only way to know for sure is to contact Google.

I appears someone in the linked thread wrote and found out it is OK. But why do they have this line then?

This would also include ads throughout the site that mimic Google ads or otherwise appear to be associated with Google on your site.

What does that mean anyway?

Adsense Advisor or Jenstar, could you tell us what this sentence means?

Here is a discussion from way back in May. We still don't have an answer. I guess the key is to know what Google means by mimic.

BTW I can now find old WW threads thanks to MSN search.

Yahoo ads are clearly identified as Yahoo.

From the previous thread I believe it was determined that this was OK.

Chances are good that once you put the YPN code up, you will simply remove AdSense.

So far Yahoo hasn't been able to give me ads related to my topic. I just wrote them asking if they had ads in my topic area so we will see.

Adsense seems to have an unending number of ads on the topic so we will see. Maybe how you do with Google vs Yahoo depends on your topic.

I thought it was that they are contextual that makes it against the T.O.S.
