large text ads: are those CPM ads?

I'm using onsite tergetted ads. Recently I keep noticing many times that single text ads occupy a whole wide skyscraper, or a leaderboard, all to itself. Such single ads show in blocks where I allow only text ads, and also in blocks where I allow both text and image ads.

Is that considered an image ad? or text ad?
And is it a CPM ad or a CPC ad?

It could be an "expanded" CPC ad, or a site-targeted CPM ad. Check the information about expanded ads and site targeting at the AdSense site.
