How long does it takes for "Advertise on this site" to be off

Hey was just wondering how long does it takes for them to take "Advertise on this site" after you opout Its being six hours still there on my site :(

trader, you have to write directly to adsense-support(at)google.com and request it. They'll write back with an explanation, but when you reply back confirming they will comply with the request. Write politely and briefly is all. BUT opting out of CPM opts you out of advertisers bidding for placement on your site altogether; that's how it works.

Me too, so like yours CPM can't work for my sites, they're also lower volume with very targeted pages, so having the general auction pool selections is fine. There's a good variety for visitors and I figure that's the most important thing long term.

I have taken advantage of letting people know we offer "other" options as well if they click on the "Advertise on this site" link (see below), but no contacts yet.

I've tried advertising that way in AdWords and it was the same or worse than normal content ads.. I didn't think much of it.

Just a thought.....what happens if you choose to opt out but put your own "advertise on this site" note just below the Google Ad to establish your own advertising?

I'd be happier if the "advertise on this site" link only appeared once per page and not on units like the 125x125 box which looks very cluttered now. Perhaps Google might refine this a little.

I also have seen a substantial decrease in CTR presumably due to the "Advertise on this site" link. I opted out of the program over 24 hours ago and still the link is there. I have also written customer service, with no response yet. I don't need real-time response to the minute, but this issue of it taking DAYS to drop that link is costing me money and I see no need for it.

I opted out and it has taken just 24 hours for the links to be removed. So they seem to be on the ball a bit better than some of the earlier posters experienced

Also I have no reason to tell to my advertiser: "as I'm so dumb that can not take your money and run your ads, go to G. and give your money to them. I hope they'll give me some part of it!"

I turned it off but while I wait for them to make the change have pulled all Google Ads off my site.

Why not put an "advertise here" adwords aff link so you get the $20.00 or whatever it is (couldn't be bothered to check) instead of just sending a free advertiser to Google? (that is, if you're in the leave it showing camp).
