ok it seems to me that google keeps doing things per account and not per site

for example: now the "advertise here" only applies to your entire account not per site

another example: you cant ban advertisers per site only per account

soooooooo does google want us to make one account per site?!?!? of course not so what do?

That's correct, it's one account per customer.

You can put AdSense on any site that complies with the TOS. Advertise on this Site will appear on all sites, along with "Ads by Google".

of course not so what do?

Decide that you can live with it, or find another ad network?

I agree that Google is not exactly displaying much interest in their publishers in this respect. Just read somewhere that MSN may start a competing service - some real competition in this area would be nice.

BB, this is the way AdSense has been set up from day one. You just have to live with it.

Re the Advertise on This Site issue, you can rewrite the text that people see when they click on that link, so that they'll understand that the site they are on is one of several you run. Of course, the advertisers CAN choose the specific site they want to target--they don't have to run ads on all your sites.

well why is this the case? i find it highly ignorant to the publishers (us) and really bad for their image

this should be no 1 priority to fix dammit =/

It's not going to change, so either live with it or find another program.

Yes, sorry - I misread your original post.

for example: now the "advertise here" only applies to your entire account not per site

AdWords advertisers can select particular sites to advertise on themselves though, so I don't really see a major problem with it.

another example: you cant ban advertisers per site only per account

I take your point there, although I personally haven't had a problem with that. If I ban them from one, I generally don't want them on any of them (eg eBay).

Have you raised this with AdSense directly?

>>yes, but they don't reply as i wish.
hmm so what's that telling you then....? was you expecting them to reply saying "hey thanks for your email Billy underscore Blue and we have decided to rewrite all our terms of service just because you don't agree with them"

Billy_Blue its like this matey, you either agree to the terms of service as laid down by google or you take the adsense code off your site or sites and use another contextual ad company but the bottom line is this

google pay

not only do they pay, they pay on time when the amount is due (unlike a lot of other companies), you may not like and agree with everything you signed up and agreed to but when that cheque drops through your letter box that is what makes it all worth while, not terms and conditions or things what you don't agree with

why don't you stop trying to change something that you can't and get on with making money from your site...

Calm down guys! Billy-Blue raises a valid point. Sure, we all have to live with G's way of doing things, but he's certainly not alone in not liking the fact everything applies account-wide, not site-wide.

I'd certainly put top of my wish-list the ability to block ads on a site-by-site basis. There are some ads which are particularly relevant to one of my sites, but totally irrelevant to the others. As it's a majority of irrelevancy, those advertisers are blocked.

There have also been many posts where it's been suggested that each site should have to be pre-approved by G before Adsense can be applied to it.

Somehow, I don't think Billy is in a minority of one :)

If that is the case, then the best thing to do is to raise it with AdSense direct.
