"according to the last Google press-release, an average bid/click-through costs $0.37 to an advertiser"
I have been unable to find this info on Google itself, but it does tie in with what I am seeing as the average price paid at this end for clicks
Can anyone give me a "horses mouth" reference as to the average bid price across Google
yes, I do realise that it varies per keyword, but I am interested to see if the average has actually been released by Google
You forgot to add the vital info that you had found ;)
However I did find
"Most keywords on Google command far above the 5 cents minimum, with industry analysts estimating that AdWords commands near or over the 37 cents that Overture reported last quarter. "
Not sure who the "industry analysts" are, but I have found that I am getting only slightly less from Adsense across a range of sites, which would tie in with them getting 37 cents, or thereabouts, on average from their advertisers
