I have a travel site wich has around 1000 unique vistors every day.
I´m planning to put adsense ads on it...But is
it worth with the amount of visitors i have?
How much can i earn?
Is 10$ a day possible?
Thanks

I'd say it's possible. But no-one can tell you what you can make unless you try it yourself. And the first attempt usually tells you nothing, first you place the codes, then you analyze the statistics (I suggest using channels for all ads), then you optimize with different ad units, colors and placement to see what works the best.
You could earn anything between 10 cents and 100$ a day.

On my sites, travel is the weakest part in income.
But with 1000 visitors a day, $10 to $20 a day should be possible.

Travel is a very general category, some travel sites with more popular destinations can generate more than others. And if your site is a general travel planning site you might not be getting the targeted traffic that other specific travel site get therefore you could be a prime candidate for Smart Pricing. It also depends on your content, is it a review site with original content, or is it a travel site with generic non-unique articles and variouse affiliate links?
As said above, the best way to find out is to try and if you don't like the results you can always remove the script.

It´s mainly a travel guide with shows you everything travel related. (country level -> town level)
Sights and seeings , hotels , museums , ...etc
There are about 5000 pages with lots of unique content. (mainly text)

With that traffic I had $16-18 a day. But I just pasted the code on the side and did not try to make it more visible. my site was travel too.

It could be very profitable (depending on the destinations). Look into affiliate programs, too--you may find that affiliate sales generate even more revenue than AdSense does.

Go for it - $10 a day appears to be very realistic. Plus, as EFV suggests, have a look into affiliate programs as well (does not work for me, though).

Yes, it is. My site is about the same size as yours with similar number of uvs. As ERV pointed out I would also look into affiliates.

I would say that you will easily make more than $10 per day.
Good Luck!

As EFV says, much depends on the destinations -- an online travel guide to say Tokyo or San Francisco, will probably have a better range of well paying adwords ads and affiliate deals than say Mogadishu or Rangoon...
