How to get wanted ads

while avoiding absurd ads that won't get any hit?

I have a small size site with Adsense about graphic arts. It has a good quantity of text, and that's mainly the trade sector I preview when using the "Google Adsense preview tool". So far, so good.

However, when uploading it, I get too many times absurd ads about losing weight or unpaid debts lists. I call this 'absurd' because as this is not a generalist site but a rather specialized one, I don't think we are getting anywhere useful (Google, The advertiser and your humble servant, I mean).

Is there any other way to filter the trade sector of the advertisements (but the Adsense competence filter)?

I mean, if it's graphic arts, the impact would be better if the ads would be software, books, web services...

I know this may be a bit of a rookie's question, so please bear with me :)

Thank you

Your problem may be one that will go away with time--sometimes the targeting takes a while to settle down.

It's also possible that you have words on your pages that are triggering those unwanted ads.

If so, do a search at Google AdSense on "section targeting." This is code you can use to tell the bot to emphasize certain sections of a page or to ignore certain sections of a page.

Good luck!
