Google analytics is currently unavailable (they are not accepting any new sign ups for now). Does anyone know a good FREE stats package whereby I can monitor my adsense clicks? The reporting done in the google adsense account is poor, poor. It doesn't even tell me what IP's are clicking for instance. Even though google must log this info themselves.

It's not available only temporarily. I think it will be back in a month.

I know, but in the meantime.....

Also, even when it available I would perhaps think twice about using it. I'm not entirely sure I want all my stat info with google.

Addfreestats can track adsense clicks.
Free, but you have to place a button on your site, and endure some annoying pop-ups when you log in to look at your stats.

I just installed asRep. I'm using the free version and it seems to be doing a good job..

adfree stats - I have used this before. Just terrible. Asrep looks more the ticket but would be very interested to hear if anyone knows anything even better.

Actually Asrep is out for me right now as it requires MySQL which I dont have. So, am back to square 1. So, grateful if anyone has any suggestions for tools that I can use.

Actually statcounter is really nice. It is what I am using at the moment (im using free version). BUT it does NOT have adsense tracking capability (clicks, CTR etc.) as far as I know. A tool like statcounter but with this capability would be GREAT! The Q is - is there such a tool?

Thinking about it now - just why dont adsense provide better stats. Their stats are a joke!

Addfreestats can track adsense clicks.

======================

Yes they do ... along with a bunch of other stats that you can check.

"Yes they do ... along with a bunch of other stats that you can check."

Is this in relation to statcounter?

No, it's different from Statcounter, put addfreestats in google.

I'm using PHP click tracker. It uses PHP/MySQL and JavaScript to track clicks. It's very simple, and if you're a programmer, you can extend it to give you better stats. Find it by searching for "php click tracker adsense".

I suggest to re-think click-tracking strategies when it comes to 3rd party hosted services. If using such a service, you would be (technically) sharing vital AdSense information with a 3rd party which is -if I remember correctly- only allowed for exact revenues, not CTR, not EPC, not clicks, nothing - except revenues. Google *might* see this as TOS-violation.

If you still want to use 3rd party service, I would recommend to (at least) make sure that the 3rd party may not look at your data or use it in any way.

I am really relunctant to use adfreestats. I know they have that functionality - but I just dont like them. I really dont like having their button on my website and am too tight to pay up for it to be invisible.

"I'm using PHP click tracker."

Can u perhaps sticky me the url? I have done the google search but having problems tracking it down - there is a lot of crap out there.

can adfreestats track persons clicking the same adsense ad twice? I dont think it can. So, it cannot be used to flag persons clicking on an ad more than once.....which of course would be very naughty and something you would want to know as soon as possible.
