Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up

I just noticed this feature today and ran through the scenario .. then saw that I get only 1 landing page for all websites. Further, looking at the demo, it looks as if the user, when signing up, is not allowed to specify a URL on which to advertise.

With one site about widgets and another about gadgets on the same adsense account, a user signing up believing he is advertising on my widget site gets added to my gadget site as well?

And it appears that users pay for impressions rather than clickthroughs. Looks like a recipe for many unhappy advertisers.

Am I reading this wrong?
