Switching to large rectangle

Will this get rid of CPM ads?

I'm thinking about replacing a leader board plus banner sized ad with a large rectangle. Image ads do not run in the large rectangles,?nor do CPM ads?, so would making this switch mean that CPM ads will no longer show on my site?

I don't know about image ads but CPM ads show up in large rectangles. I've seen a lot of them.

Nope. CPM ads are both text and images - so they will still appear even if you use large rectangles. CPM prices have fallen so fast that I now dread seeing CPM ads on my pages. You just hope that G's technology is working correctly so that only the highest paying ad is shown!
