If you get a lot of international traffic, there won't be any difference.
You've gotta be joking?
Either I'm going to get the biggest-ever click dump overnight or Thanksgiving clicked in about 6 hours ago...lots of travelling methinks...
Good earnings up till today this month.
Earnings down about 20 percent.
Yep, I'd go further than that after an excellent month so far...if I end up only 25% down for Wednesday, allowing for standard deviation of course, then I'll not be far off the mark!
Bearing in mind my traffic truly is global, I have never seen the scenario at this time of the morning, 01.25 GMT, whereby I have no visitors on-line from Japan, China or India...maybe they're "relaxing" too? :-))
I find that weekends and public holidays my site traffic is down. In fact, whenever corporate America isn't at it's desk surfing the internet. That doesn't necessarily mean that adsense income is reduced. I'd guess that site topic is an important factor in your site traffic patterns, and that may affect adsense income.
There are just so many variables it's impossible to guess! Just enjoy the holiday and cease worrying about adsense for a day or so.
Probably it's all the processing power going into printing my cheques:-)
The trick to recover holiday earnings is to create a few good pages on holidays. Even if your main interest is Widgets aimed at corporate america, spin off a few articles on how your widgets are affecting the turkey population or something.
Personally my holiday pages get a rush pre-holiday and the extra earnings there more than cover any losses due to holidays. Now if I could only figure out how to get people off the beach and clicking in the summer slump I'd be set!
One account is absolutely on fire today...it's hit the daily average with 15 hours to go! But I have to admit that it's US traffic is very low even though it has enviable SERPs on all engines for a very coveted word...strange that eh?
It's EPC is well-up on recent days.
The other account was doing well until the usual US kick-in...which obviously has not happened...surprise, surprise.
At least it's giving me a chance to catch up on the backlog of work!
Already my logs are showing similar to a "normal" weekend whereas Adsense page impression stats on my main account is 50% down...stop printing all those cheques...updation please...
Wednesday: -12.5%
Thursday: -35.7% Both CTR and earnings down precisely the same!
Friday: Normal - this surprised me
Saturday: Normal so far today
Anyone else analysed their stats as yet?
In Jan. they finally have time to themselves and maybe some Christmas gift money that they can now spend on their favorite pursuit.
I have a few years of stats so I know my trends.
Hmm, this just got me to thinking, maybe I need to build some Christmas themed pages to combat this trend.
When the USA is closed, my income remains roughly static, although I lose about 10% of the traffic.
Also, during the day, the morning (UK time) starts off with a nice high eCPM, then drops sharply at 2pm (UK time) when the USA east coast starts hitting the site.

Yep, I'd concur with that, some of our eCPMs have gone through the roof over the past few days and I can only come to a couple of reasons for this.
1. The rogue bots which make impressions, and there are some about, are on holiday too!
2. That Americans surf more eratically than precisely and this begs abother question.
Are Europeans more exact in their searching habits or by using Google.co.uk/de/it/etc, are they able to drill down to what they're looking for faster?
Does this mean that Americans are having to filter through loads of sites, highly-ranked foreign sites in Google.com, before they can find what they're searching for locally/USA?
I don't know the answer except for the fact this happens everyday.
21_blue, you have lots of data. What do you say?
