Last weeks example:
Mon. - $.50
Tue. - $9.75 cents
Wed. - $6.00
Thur.- $5.00
Please note difference between monday and tuesday. On monday there was no downtime, visitors were pretty much same as tuesday. The only thing that is like a roller coaster is the eCPM.
Is it just me or are you experiencing same?
Huge variances are normal with Adsense. Get used to the roller coaster and enjoy the ride. There's often very little you can do to affect earnings, so concentrate on working on your site to add good content, publicise your site well and jiggle with banners / positions of banners to maximise income.
And even with a significant increase in page views over the past week, the eCPM actually dropped by about 20 cents and resulted in similar earnings (most of which are lower than the posted earnings above)
Tuesday appears to be the day of the week when smartpricing is adjusted for many sites and often the day when major variences up or down are seen
mine oecpm often changes up or down on a thursday but many others seem to be tuesday sometimes from then on ecpm increases or decreases depending how smart pricing has effected your site think there was a snartpricing discusion last week check in the adsense forum

Within a week, the bidding wars should begin.
In the low end, you will see a wider spread percentage wise. At the higher end, the dollar value spread is wider, but the percentage is obviously narrower.
We go from $100 a day to $180 a day.
For me to go from .50 to 9.00 is a huge rollercoaster. Anyway, I'll keep on reading to see if I can do anything to have this levelled off somehow.
Read angsuman's & Nitrous' replies again.
Flip a coin and it has a 50% chance of being heads.
Take groups of just 5 flips and the variances will range from 100% heads to 0% heads & everything in between... and nothing you can do, aside from altering the coin, will level these variances off with such small samples.
However, take groups of 100 flips and you'll start to see these variances shrink dramatically, and each group be more like the group before it. With groups of 10,000 flips, you'd be hard-pressed to see anything outside of 49%-51%
The same thing applies to your site under stable conditions these at lower levels. Even with the same content, same number of vistors, you'll see these swings... one day you may get more vistors prone to clicking on links, while the next day you wont... only once your grow your site/income will you see things to start evening out.
Don't worry about day-to-day swings... Your time will be much better spent taking an average (ie. weekly, monthly, etc) and doing what you can to increase it from period to period by adding content, increasing visitors, etc.
