Hi, I just read this in adsense login-

Generally, using an unrelated third-party United States (U.S.) web hosting service to host your web pages, renting web servers that are located in the U.S. from an unrelated third party, or having your payment sent to a U.S. Post Office Box or mail forwarding address, do not of themselves constitute U.S. Activities.
---------------
I think they have ,made this thing a little lear now. I have my hosting provider based in Malaysia. I pay to this company in Malaysia through the credit card payment gateway on his site but the server on which he provides me hosting are in USA. So what do you this, do I need to get a PIN. I think I should not as I pay to a company based in Malaysia, though they may be a reseller of another company in USA or may have their own servers.

thanks fro your comments!

Hi Irock,
By unrelated I mean that I do not buy any space from a MAlaysia based company whic actually is a reseller of an American Company. The server belongs to the American company the payment I do is to the Malysian company as I do not know even the name of the Americal company, whose server they use. I think that I am not have a US business and hence no google Problem! Right? Am i missing some thing?

thnx

Hi robinponty,

This has been discussed in other parts of the board, but to the best of my knowledge you are not liable for any US tax payments.

You aren't based in the US, you are paying a Malaysian reseller (who would pay the US hosting company who would pay there taxes) and you have no US activity. Why should you worry that the US would send you a tax bill?

Relax! End of the day, are the US tax authorities really that worried about a couple of hundred dollars a month sent to Malaysia? ;)
