Did your adsense account take a hit last year on Thanksgiving or stay about the same?

Interesting. I had assumed that Thanksgiving would not be a good day, but when I checked last year's, though that Thursday was low in terms of clicks (lowest # of the month), the earnings were about average.

I actually did worse on the Saturday BEFORE Thanksgiving, which was crappy for me this year too.

So although I wouldn't be surprised if it's not a good day this year, I guess it's not inevitable. But others may have different experiences.

Last year, people coming to site way down - less than half of normal, but clickthrough way high and cpm high. Year before, people coming to site about 75% of normal, everything else about the same.

Holidays are never good on my site.

People are away from school and university. they're away from work. They're either out of town for several days or are entertaining guests.

Traffic is way down for most sites. Luckily it affects the USA only.

The holiday or Adsense?

I have international sites and they showed my earnings were 50% on the Thursday, 75% Friday, Saturday and Sunday were a normal weekend, Monday was still down but all was back to "normal" by Tuesday.

Xmas Day was also about 50% but the following few days were some of my best of the year, even New Year's Day was good and that continued into January!

This is usually the worst week of year for us, next to the week between Christmas and New Year's.

On my site, Saturday was not an all-time-low, but almost! The day ranks as #5 of my worst revenues ever, i.e. since Mid-April '05.

Sunday was also quite low, but not to that extent.

And today does not look promising either. Seems that some high-paying campaigns have stopped for the holiday, as the EPC also dropped to 60% compared to average.
