Latest on adsense with geocities

What is the latest on adsense on free web hosts eg. geocities (their free variant)?

The kneejerk of many would be to say that this is a no go. Which would have been my presumption. But this thread was interesting:

[webmasterworld.com...]

But that was while ago now? Anything changed?

How long does it take to get accepted? Speaking averages of course?

i made my first website november last year and applied to adsense about the same time using a free host but was accepted immediately. i started promoting it on the internet around february.

anyway, im using a "no ads free hosting" and yes, they exist! they just ask for a small link back to their site. just do a search using those keywords and you will come across them.
