AdSense/YPN Dilemma

Would like to try YPN, but don't want to irritate BigG!

Hi all,
I would like to give YPN a try, but i don't want to irritate BigG (aka AdSense) as they have been pretty good for me and I definitely don't want to be dropped or have my %%'s cut into.

I have AdSense on pretty much all my sites so I'm pretty sure they will know it if I switch some of my sites over to YPN to test.

Has anybody gotten any beef from G for giving YPN a try? I know G shouldn't punish anybody for trying out YPN, but you never know. Just wanted to see how others are juggling them.

They will like you more if you try ypn.

It's like playing hard to get.

welcome to webmasterworld!

Really? My greatest fears are first getting booted from AdSense and then getting booted from the G index.

Thanks also for the welcome:-)

i dont think google will play any games. eventually there will be three big players in the space, along with some smaller players. they are going to have to outcompete each other with respect to features and payouts.

decreasing your payout percentage by trying out a competitor will be very counterproductive in developing strong ties with publishers. IMO, try everything out and go with what works best for you and your visitors.

and let us know how it turns out ;)

Thanks for your reply. One would like to think that everybody will play fair and I feel as you do that they should compete against each other and not take it out on the publishers either directly or "behind the scenes"

Don't wind any Google staff up at conferences, and you'll be fine.

Google won't drop you that would not be a smart move. I went to yahoo to try it out for about 1 day then my earnings dropped dramatically so I switched back to google.

Yes, dont' worry about it. In fact, you may end up liking YPN better. I do. I have all but about 20% of my pages with them now, and am making more than with Google. Give 'em a try.

I just put some Chitika ads up with the adsense, not instead of. See how it works.
