Does that bring the eCPM down for the AdUnit?

As far as positioning in code goes, does positioning your AdLinks cause those ads to be the highest paying in comparison to AdUnits positioned lower?

In the code, my adlinks are above my regular ads. I haven't seen any indication that it has any negative, or positive, effect on earnings for either.
