Hi,
Is there a minimum amount of traffic ones needs in order to join adsense?

Also, what are the difference between hits, visitors, and unique visitors? I mean, I can sure take a guess but I'd like to be sure.

Can I ask, solely out of curiosity, who has been pleasantly suprised, and who has been disappointed, in the first few weeks of using adsense?

Thanks.

No minimum.
Forget hits - it's all about impressions (number of times an ad/page is displayed) and clicks.
I was pleasantly surprised the first few weeks.

Question 1: No, but don't expect to make much with little or no traffic.

Question 2: I recommend you do a google search on "web statistics tutorial".

Question 3: I think everyone has been pleasantly surprised and unpleasantly disappointed a few times a week since they started adsense. (But the good outweighs the bad by far.)

I was pleasantly surprised for the first few months. I got dissapointed about 18 months in when I got hit by smartpricing big time. I've now recovered from that (thankfully) but by and large it's been good.

As I put as an answer to you on another of your threads here, at your projected 1000 visits a month, you might earn $10 a month, and get the minimum payment of $100 after say a year,

Happiness or disappointment will depend on whether you are happy with that as an income or not.
