2nd day of the month ALWAYS better than 1st day

For the past 4 months, my first week of the month with the exception of the 1st day has always been very good. It seems to me that an advertiser's budget resets on the 2nd day of the month? Is it like they make changes on the 1st day so it takes effect the 2nd day?

There is nothing to be gained by over-analyzing your AdSense statistics. If you look at too many numbers it's easy to make out patterns, but they don't contain useful information about what will happen in the future. It's just numerology.

Six months ago we had a small negative correlation between month day and earnings - ie as you got nearer the end of the month the earnings fell. But, nowadays, it's just random. This makes sense because Adwords users used to have a monthly budget (unless my memory is playing tricks) but now it is a daily one.

I agree that seeing patterns in numbers can often be numerology or synchronicity. Though occasionally patterns can be perceived through good instinct. One needs to use appropriate statistical tests to tell the difference between what is numerology/synchronicity and what is good instinct.

The trend is short of breath.

The start in the morning, German area is 9 hours before Google time, so the AdSense day starts at 9am,
eCPM as usual.

But in the afternoon, it's like a runner with short breath, eCPM begins to decrease.

Late in the night, eCPM can be for a 6 hour period only 30% of the eCPM in the morning.

A fall back has been typicall, but now this trend is much stronger than before.
