Merging Accounts

Currently I run 5 sites in a partnership. Each of us has our own Adsense accounts for tax purposes and our ads are rotated on our sites. Starting Jan. 1st we are going to incorporate and place Adsense under the account of the corporation rather than both of us having our own accounts. By doing this I have a couple of questions.

1. What is the best way to handle the transfer of accounts? Should we ask Google if they can merge our 2 accounts, start a new account, or change one of our accounts to be under the corporation?

2. Should I expect a decrease in revenue from Adsense after changing to only use 1 account? I have read before that an increase in traffic doesn't necessarily mean a proportional increase in revenue. Will the same thing hold true for combining 2 accounts or should the revenue stay the same as if we were using 2 seperate accounts.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has gone through a similar experience to this and how they handled it. Also, if anyone has gone from a partnership to a corporation structure please let me know of anything I should be aware of prior to making the switch.

When I first applied for AS, I did it as an individual. I had been planning to incorporate my site eventually when finances would allow. I was suprised at the amount of money AS generated and realized I would have to incorporate sooner, rather than later. I re-wrote Google to see if they would change my account to Business rather than individual. I received a reply within a day saying that the only way to achieve this would be to close the account and then re-apply again as a business. However, they did mention they would address the check to either a business name or individual name, it wouldn't make a difference to them. I ended up keeping the individual account and will simply have the payment made out to the company name. This could be an option for you as well but you will have to contact Google to know for sure.
