Adsense account banned - what should I do

Yes, my account has been banned for these reasons:
- a publisher on his own web pages
- a publisher encouraging others to click on his ads
- automated clicking programs or any other deceptive software
- a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the
layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason

Well, I didn't do any of those but I wont waste my time telling that to google. I sent a reply mail telling them that my intensions were not such and gave them some proof (the disclaimer on my faq for only to click if you are interested etc.) They replied me back saying that I could appeal for re-evaluation. Well I just did that but they never contacted me again (its been 4-5 days). Should I expect a reply even if I am not allowed? or should I expect nothing at all? any experienced one out there?

What should you do? Go read one of the 3,874 other threads about this

3,874?

Nah...more like 13,874...

the disclaimer on my faq for only to click if you are interested etc.

You convicted yourself--that in itself is a violation! And if you don't understand why, then go reread the AdSense Terms, or do a search on "drawing undue attention."

There must be more to it than this.

I personally reported a site recently that:

1)Uses a FLOATING adsense block in your face!
2)Uses scraped content from newsgroups (with any links removed.)
3)covers the ads by google up!

The ist reply from google said that they had no control over the publishers content!

The second said they were investigating it.

The site no longer has the floating google ads, but still uses newsgroup content as his own (which I wrote in this case incidentally!) and google approved this in direct contravention of their own rules.

So three rules broken, one fixed and all ok apparently.

well n the point of drawing undue attention? I also have a faq on one of my sites that reas as follows

Q. How can we offer all this for free? whats the catch?

A. We rely on advertising and sponsors to pay for the sites upkeep, that's why you see the likes of google ads on this site, they generate income for us to pay the server fees, there is no catch.

Now I sent the following q and a to google asking if that would be ok and they said yes, I did however tell them that there are no google ads on the faq page.

there does apear to be a difference in mine to ebemunk and that is that I didnt mention the word "click" I said "see" as in display, saying the word click could have caused this. I suppose it depends on how you word it.

I have been a member here for a while and only recently been using as but there is one thing that sticks in my head about as and that is if your not sure about something then ask google, get it from the horses mouth so to speak.

disclaimer on my faq for only to click if you are interested etc.)

I hope you removed this before re-applying?

You clearly violated the TOS ( which it sounds like you didn't fully read )... all you can do now is hope they'll let you back in... or wait for YPN & MSN, and not 'cheat' this time.

There must be more to it than this.

There probably is. The OP showed in his message that he didn't understand the TOS, so there are likely to be other problems with his site he isn't even aware of....

I would suggest you read the terms and conditions and program policies thoroughly before proceeeding with AdSense support or attempting to sign up for some other program so that history doesn't repeat itself.

Well I wrote this:
I really liked your site, can I support you in some way?

You can support us via .(blah blah) Important Note: PLEASE do not click the Google AdSense ads just to support us. This will only make things worse. Only click them if you are interested in the advertisement shown itself. We appreciate your desire for support, but this type of support is rather destructive than otherwise. Thank you for your awaresness of this topic.

So this is a violation?

Yes, it is (in my opinion). Though it sounds like Google has multiple problems with your site.

Well my question, really, in the first place was will google let me know whatever they decide. I didn't ask wheather will I be back in the adsesense program, I just want to know if they will notify me about the results of my appeal to them.

Sure it's a violation... you're best bet is to drop any reference to google ads, or any ads for the that matter. Let the clicks happen organically.

You should not bring any undue attention to the ads, talking about the ads IS undue attention. You deserved the ban.

What will you do? Pretty badly if you don't learn to read the contracts you sign AND stay within the terms.

Try to chill and explore other options....you seem to be toast with Google, and as bad as I hate to say it, you deserve it.

Why would you consider yourself so special that you do things your way instead of the way everyone else is expected and required to do.... follow the T&C's of any Ad company you join up with as Google is not the only one that has rules that you absolutely MUST follow..

The first rule about Adsense Club is that you don't talk about Adsense Club.

The second rule of Adsense Club, is you do not talk about Adsense Club

"You should not bring any undue attention to the ads, talking about the ads IS undue attention. You deserved the ban." So would you would say a line under adsense saying "register to remove ads" is undue attention? Well according to the adsense team it is not. Moral of the story, always ask adsence support and take what people say here with a grain of salt.

maccas, you asked about your particular wording, AdSense OK'd it, you weren't banned.

ebemunk DIDN'T ask, and did get banned.

And Google specifically cited calling undue attention. I think it's a reasonable conclusion that one of the thing they didn't like was that text. Clearly, there were other things.

I do not understand why people bother to mention the ads on their website. I mean, what is the point?
Besides the risk of getting kicked from AS, asking people not to click just doesn't work. Man is simply not qualified to do things you ask him not to do. I ask you now not to think of a monkey in a puprle weddingdress... Get it? It don't work.

Ebe, you don't sound like some hardcore fraud.
I guess you just were a bit clumsy and Google punished you for that. I hope they give you a second chance...
