AdSense on French content

I've done AdSense in English only till now. I'm now thinking of creating content in French (via translation and/or writing) and using AdSense on that site.

I was wondering if people in France or those using French do use AdWords and is there enough ad inventory for French. I am afraid that in France and for French they have their own popular ad programs leaving AdSense with only a small ad inventory.

Anybody here doing AdSense on French content?

Adsense in French is doing okay for me. About the same cpm as in English.

A way to check the potential for you particular site would be to translate a few pages and look at them with AdSense preview tool. Better way is to translate even more pages and check in real life.
But another important thing to study before you do this is what is the demand for your type of site in France (+ Belgium, Switzerland, Luxemburg and Quebec? And more important: what's the competition? In some areas of the web France is almost a virgin market (I am going to move in one of those by translating one of my sites into French this winter)and you might come very high in SERPS for French keywords, simply because the competition is almost non-existent.
