How long to wait for the blocked Adsense ads disappearing?

After 5 hours, why they still appear?

Hi friend,

In my Adsense account, I have filtered some negative, terrible competitors' Ads for 5-hour more, but they are still appearing on my webpages now.

I have already modified webpages (including Meta and everything else) keywords and descriptions, not to let some words inspiring those terrible sharks' ads to negate my webpages.

I really want to know why those filtered (blocked) ads still appearing?

Please give advice!

Thank you very much indeed!

Just be patient - they will go away.

Go back and check that you spelled the URL's correctly.

Also just list the root site "domain.com" not www. or any extensions.

Make sure you block just the domain, not a complete path, as I had one little ad spammer put out a boatload of ads with all sorts of landing pages like example.com/ad1.html, example.com/myads/, etc. and blocking just example.com gets rid of them ALL.

It can take two days for them to be gone.

Thanks to incrediBILL and AlexMiles for advice!

I've just come back. Usually I'm very busy with other work and things, no time to manage Adsense account and even my several sites. For the recent months, I've seen more and more negative competitors' adsense ads appearing on several very eye-catching positions on many of webpages, negatively affecting on my websites---traffic reduced, returning visitors' IPs reduced, and most importantly, the purchase on my sites were much reduced. So, recently I have checked and modified many things on my sites, spending much time, no kidding, sometimes only sleeping 4 hours a day. My stupidity, it was yesterday that I was told that there is AS Filter that I can use to block some negative competitors' ads. I did that, still waiting to see those bad ads gone.

Also, I do feel displaying Adsense ads on my sites can be very negative to my sites' fate and popularity, because I've noticed that with more and more highly competitive Adsense ads on my webpages and more and more visitors to my sites turned to those seemingly better-offer competitors' ads, my sites have got less and less purchase---this is the huge loss (not only in steady income revenues, but also, more importantly, in the reputation of my sites. You know, compared to Adsense earnings, this is a big loss, in the long run.

Several friends (also webmasters) of mine suggested just to delete Adsense ads on some major webpages (homepages, default commodities/services lists, main content index pages, main introduction pages...).

Anyway, thank you friends here for your help! I sincerely wish your web business go up, go bigger and stronger!
