Hey all,
Running a big ecomm site and noticed a weird thing in Search Console:
350k product URLs, bring in lots of clicks (2.9M), but each gets ~100 impressions on average per URL. CTR=8%
ONLY 26 “letter” pages (“products starting with A/B/C…”) – they get few clicks, but each gets MASSIVE impressions (~85k avg per URL). CTR=0.81%
Right now those letter pages are buried three levels deep (home > list > letter), barely linked.
Was wondering:
Worth building up internal links to those 26 “category” pages since they have insane impression potential?
If I link every product page to its letter category, will that mess with product page rankings or spread link juice thinner?
Any internal link tricks beyond the usual breadcrumbs/content stuff?
Would love some quick real-world pointers.
