Hi All!
Perhaps a stupid question, but I never had to do this earlier, so though I'd rather ask a stupid question than do something stupid :)
I'm running a specific industry-related portal with few thousand registered companies. Now want to create one-page public profile pages for all registered companies - sort of like company's storefront on the portal. Never did this in my earlier projects, so just wanted to make sure it doesn't negatively affect hard-earned SERPs and SEO efforts, so though I would ask for some quick tips and the DOs and DON'Ts.
The purpose is not to do SEO for users' companies. Main idea is to just showcase companies' services most relevant to my portal - so that's the usability feature. If this can simultaneously improve my portal's authority doing this, that's a definite advantage.
To start with, what do I even put as title and description? My portal's name or the customer's company's name? Or both? Or it doesn't even matter?.. I see, for example Facebook, puts title simply as: Facebook. is that optimal? And if customers share these links on some on-line resources, which are most likely to be relevant to the portal's industry, I'm guessing it should increase my domain authority like any other external link to my website?
