Google Bard Extensions Generative AI Now Answers from Gmail, Docs, Drive, etc.

Google is launching Google Extensions which now shows you relevant information from your Gmail, Docs, Drive, Google Maps. etc.

For example, if you’re planning a trip to the Grand Canyon (a project that takes up many tabs), you can now ask Bard to grab the dates that work for everyone from Gmail, look up real-time flight and hotel information, see Google Maps directions to the airport, and even watch YouTube videos of things to do there — all within one conversation.

Here's the thing, we've known all along that Google scans your gmail: After all, how would its search work if it didn't. But, do we really want conversation content being surfaced in discussions with friends and colleagues. Or have I misunderstood how this works.
