Like many here my global overall traffic was down in July but looking at my metrics today very interestingly my Unique Visitors were at my 2023 average.
Is anyone else seeing this, i.e. page views per visitor were substantially less? Mine was -15%.

Summer lull is in full swing but, I'm still 50% YoY in growth and almost 100% in revenue. Very stable numbers and I can't be happier, though I realise the entire business I am working for grew with pretty much the same amount YoY. Now, I see some keywords spiked up and there were some loosers in the SERP a bit more strongly than the average, so I suspect some minor Google Update hit the EU. or at least the niches I am very involved in.

I see a steady drop in page views starting on May 2nd through June 25th. Then it bounces back somewhat and stays in a new range lower than earlier in the year but stable. To me that could be coinciding with the end of the school year and summer starting, so not out of the ordinary.

Huge drops across the board today...search down 11% but direct traffic is -35%. USA, UK, CA, AU, UAE all down 22-46% today

Had a good week of good traffic like you guys and the deep started yesterday.
They are testing lots of widget and put lots of ads again + holiday = I save bandwidth :D

Lots of testing and rotation going on every day with the SERPs. Today I am -67% in USA traffic and -70% to my home page. Main landing pages are -60% one day this week and then up the next. UK traffic disappears one day, strong the next. UAE -50% the entire week.
From what I am seeing most of this loss is due to two things: 1) Removing all images from the text results - when my SERP has an image carousel it brings in much, much more traffic. When they remove the carousel I lose it all. Right now some of my SERPs have no image at all, just text 2) This new grid layout of 6x9 results with image thumbnails
Otherwise my "ranking' has gone up, but it means very little these days...

Search traffic is -30% today at 1:30pm. Most of that is just lower USA traffic. UAE has also been down by half for almost a week.

Completely dead across all sites for me this morning, in fact that dead I had to check my server was up and running, our hotel venue site had a 6 hour peiod with zero traffic ... Xmas Day looks posiitively busy compared to this!

@mestrick It's an arts related site, with a lot of content related to the UAE so gets traffic from the entire Arab world really.
@renatov @Redbar Are you seeing a drop mostly in USA or all countries? Search traffic, direct traffic, or both? For me a lot of this seems to be with the loss of image carousels in the SERPs, and also Google has decided that my home page is not the primary page for a few high traffic searches...instead Google has selected an interior page of much lower rank. My home page is receiving much less traffic since July for this reason.

Good news: Our traffic has been fairly steady lately. Down a bit some days, up a bit on others. No surprises.
Bad news: We're down 30 percent or more year over year. I'm guessing this is mostly because of Google's SERP layout changes, which have pushed organic results way down the page even for informational searches (and which make it easy to mistake "sponsored" results for the traditional 10 blue links).

Sorry to hear that some of you have much lower traffic than last year...my traffic in 2023 has been quite a bit higher than last year. But the gap is closing this summer, with impressions dropping steadily. I am seeing wild swings...traffic way down the entire first half of the day and then big spikes the 2nd half of the day. The issue is traffic to my home page is off by 50%+ every single day this week, and traffic to some of my most important landing pages is down 40% to 70%. I honestly don't see such a major shift in page layout that would cause such big drops day after day. Image carousels are creeping back into many of the serps again, but the traffic has vanished completely. Traffic is mostly non-converting one-hit traffic to lower-level pages again.

I may as well switch off my server today. Much of my widget industry is closed for holidays and Joe Public is certainly spending their money on their holidays rather than on the retail product I am able to supply to my wholesale importers.
This does not bode well for the retail sector of my industry since volume buyers need to be enquiring / ordering now to ensure their final Xmas deliveries.

Traffic patterns are erratic to say the least. Yesterday the traffic was abysmal, search was -13% and direct traffic -36%. The day started with USA traffic much lower and then USA traffic increased in a straight until 1pm. CA, AU, DE, and much of Europe then dropped off a cliff, all down 50%+.
This morning my home page is -73% and my most important landing page is -56%. I checked on desktop and I am #1 with a huge image carousel, but no traffic. If this is mostly due to people on vaca globally it's causing traffic to drop lower than last summer, which is the first time that has happened in 2023.

I'm coming up to 17 hours of my Google day, my global site is at 30% of 2023 average meanwhile our hotel venue site is already at 122% ... Traditional Sunday lunches, beer and wine drinking plus live band in the garden. Yesterday the hotel was at 200% ... Could we replicate this in another venue?
