Google Search has a form to submit feedback about site names

john mu announced a new form [twitter.com] that may help sites with name problems in Google Search:

Hi folks, I saw a few posts about site names being different than expected. We'd love to collect & forward them to the engineers, so that we can work on improving the systems. If you're seeing a weird site name being shown, drop us a note here...

We'd love to get your feedback on how site names are shown for your website in Google Search. Note that site names appear in Google Search results for the following languages: English, French, Japanese, and German. This form is only for site names, not for title-links or page titles. Please double-check your page's markup to confirm that the expected site name is specified as documented [developers.google.com].

Feedback submitted here is designed to help our teams to improve the systems in Google Search overall and does not guarantee it will not be acted upon individually.

the "few posts" he saw included specifically this Search Console Help thread by the Salesforce CMO [support.google.com] complaining about their brand showing up on Google Search as "Sales Force".
