Are the requests coming from humans or robots? Is there a consistent user-agent? Are you seeing it in access logs or in analytics?

Perfunctory research suggests that mentor.corp.etcetera started catching site owners' attention in 2021. Or, at least, that's when people started asking “What the heck is this?” One response said

it is someone from google team trying to check your app that has links to your website

Does that apply to your site? (I actually found something similar in more than one place, but one of those also gave information that was factually incorrect, so this may turn out to be an explanation that someone once tossed out and everyone else is just repeating it.)

i have seen a list of over 1000 subdomains of corp.google.com which are all Google corporate intranet hostnames used by various product/project/program/etc entities.

in this case, you are apparently being linked to from a CS Research Mentorship Program (CSRMP) [research.google] page on that hostname.

perhaps this will help in your analysis as suggested by lucy24.
