I might be a little late to the party on this one but I performed several searches today on Google using Firefox and Chrome and no longer see numbered results pages but instead see a never ending scroll of results. Did I miss this? Didn't Google try this once before like 15+ years ago?

mobile or desktop?

if it's desktop, most likely they are running a test and you're it.

For reference, Google started testing this way back in 2011 New "Show More Results" Infinite Scroll [webmasterworld.com]

Last year it said Google Mobile Search in U.S. Goes Continuous Scrolling [webmasterworld.com]

I don't see it myself, but I think it would be a good move.

Infinite scroll encourages visitor to stay longer on "a page", so it might help getting more exposure to sites not on the "first page".

I only see it on certain queries. Must still be testing. I like it personally. Makes me feel like some keywords are still page 1 even though they are past the 10 threshold. Just positive thinking ha.
