Google Indexing Problem?

News website, in the finance niche. Highly ranked, and operating for 7 years.
I recently noticed an indexing problem for some articles.
It has been several hours but pages are not indexed yet.
Anyone else has this kind of a problem?

I also notice all the syndications of our website are indexed on the posts they syndicated from us, this is insane.

have you checked your web server access logs (or GSC URL Inspection Tool [support.google.com]) to see if the articles have been crawled?

Not saying this is the reason, but in these days there's been quite a bit of deprecation of what is called "mis-disinformation". This goes for many of the tech sites, not just google. Might check your content for anything that might run afoul of these new restrictions.

hi, thanks for all above responses.
First, for the URL inspection tool, it showed that "This page is not in the index, but not because of an error. See the details below to learn why it wasn't indexed. Learn more" but it's crawled.
In terms of not indexing it, it indexes well 20-30 sites that all they do is 100% syndicate our content.

Last, we have around 10-15 original news articles daily. Not all of them have that problem, roughly half when I check yesterday's content.
Also, all the content that didn't get indexed yesterday when it came live, got indexed after several hours.

I'm not in the news and finance sector whcih, I assume, gets spidered much more often and faster than "regular" informational / business sites, however this past two months G has been spectacularly slow with updating and for new sites an almost complete and utter failure.

Sure tthere will be some who will ask what am I referring to since they have not seen any issues however not only have I experienced this I do know of several others with indexing and ranking issues. Over the past few years G has gotten tardier with new sites but since this last core update it's almost as if it's stopped altogether.

Now watch all the WP site owners ask "What problem?" :-))
