i've always updated my content for relevancy purpose. And there are few posts where I ranked 1 before but for some reasons I just couldn't rank that post. So I tried to check what's going on. Looks like Google has decided to show my published date to 2013 which is ironic as my site was created in 2015.

I've done all sorts of internal linking and even send links from relevant sites. But still it seems like G doesn't want to change that date.

Anyone having to dealt with that sort of issue?

There's no mention of 2013 anywhere in the source code or HTTP response headers?

Nope! I'm a developer myself so I know these things pretty well. Other than few posts, the remaining posts seems to work just fine. No idea, what's going wrong in these pages though

Maybe try adding some structured data?

Google does pick up incorrect dates from time to time. I have a date at the bottom of the article and in the sitemap that shows the last updated date but the odd time articles have dates within the content and then google will pickup that date.

Another issue is how you have the date formatted on the page, for example 10/11/12 could be read a whole bunch of different ways.
