Are Several Widget Specific Pages Overwhelming For Google?

I've been trying to analyse why several of my top-ranked specific widget pages have been demoted or gone MIA completely and have found a common pattern for them and I feel it may go further back than just this update.

One of my most important keywords has several distinct commercial and retail uses and I have these listed under several pages such as:

kw1kw2kw3 is the main product information page but I also have:
kw1kw2kw3 global product line 1 + images
kw1kw2kw3 global product line 2 + images
kw1kw2kw3 global product line 3 + images
kw1kw2kw3 global product line 4 + images
kw1kw2kw3 global product line 5 + images
kw1kw2kw3 global product line 6 + images
kw1kw2kw3 global buyers' guide + images

Is all this information too overwhelming for Google and it is simply seeing kw1kw2kw3 as spam?

I said earlier that this may go back further than this update since I am also the owner of the kw1kw2kw3 domain name and dedicated solely kw1kw2kw3 site and for many years it ranked #1 until it suddenly started losing rank and I could not comprehend why and especially so since I discovered and introduced this product to my widget global trade market.

I closed that site 4-5 years ago since it became pointless.

What do you think, too much info is too difficult for G and I say this in the light of I am seeing many widget pages being info thin with poor images?

That could be something they poked into the machine to deal with keyword stuffers. I have not seen or heard anything so specific but it is possible. The kinds of things that spammy sites do are always to be avoided imho. If you had not closed it down it might be an interesting study to throw synonyms into the mix and see what happens long term. Try missing the obvious keywords so they can "help".

I'm having a real in-depth into specific pages of mine and it seems that maybe I have too much info. For instance I have at least a dozen pages that use the same keyword2 and keyword3, all these pages rank 1-3, many at #1, all have different images and on-page descriptions but all obviously use the same template.

The two big money keyword1 pages both have several pages all in-depth about the widgets therefore I have already started to consolidate these two specific widgets to see what happens, if anything at all, however if this does solve my problem this also means it has nothing to do with the update!
