URL Parameters Tool In Search Console Deprecated 28 April, 2022

Google is to deprecate the URL Parameters tool in Search Console on 28 April 2022.

Over the years, Google became much better at guessing which parameters are useful on a site and which are —plainly put— useless. In fact, only about 1% of the parameter configurations currently specified in the URL Parameters tool are useful for crawling. Due to the low value of the tool both for Google and Search Console users, we're deprecating the URL Parameters tool in 1 month.

in this case "1 month" appears to mean "4 weeks".
haven't had a chance to check myself, but i've read reports that the URL parameter tool is missing as of yesterday, which would have been 28 days from the announcement.

it will be interesting to see if any changes in indexing or ranking occur to established or new sites due to this change.
