My site is now 1 and half year old. And there are 5-6 categories in my website where I published my post. Unfortunately, one of my category has some sort of problem I think. Whenever i publish my post in that category it immediately crawl and index. But when i put title of that url or post in the google it doesn't show my post. Instead of that it shows my homepage. After 1-2 weeks everything is normal. What is happening? Please help?

Hi Pranay_Pokhriyal and welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

If everything is normal after one or two weeks then it appears to be a situation of delay in sorting. If it shows as indexed, that does not necessarily mean that it has been compared to anything related to your new content to determine where and how it should be shown for any particular search. After a little time it is sorted and found as expected. Popular topics have more competition and can take longer to position. If there were something you could do to make a difference then it would not likely normalize itself in a week or so as it is doing.

If your other categories are sorted faster it may be a difference that Google sees as having timely importance and being sorted faster, something event related for example.

As many people have noticed, it is taking longer for complete indexing than it once did.

Sorry, if there are no issues shown in GMC and it normalizes in a week or two as you said, there is not any remedy to be done.

IF there are some specific reasons why you see different performance than your other categories you can look for differences and make adjustments. You did not mention any indicators so it appears to be just the latest changes. Have you added new content to the other categories since you observed this slower indexing and seen better/faster indexing for those categories? If not I'd wait until you have some documented differences to look for remedies.

For ideas on how others are dealing with indexing problems, see this discussion: [webmasterworld.com...]

My other categories post do not have any kind of problem like this. I think i do not have the problem in indexing. I am posting this thread because the category in which the problem is occurring have more amount of traffic or visitors that the other. In bing and other search engine it shows properly but only in google search engine the problem occurs. I am losing my traffic at the present day when i am posting the post.
