How to Distinguish different CCTLD domain website

My client is running 2 websites. 1 for India and 2nd for USA.

URL example of the sites as below:

India. https://www.example.com
USA: https://www.example.us

Now i am creating both websites seperately. when i search domain name using USA VPN, Indian website is visible there (https://www.example.com). what activities should I do so that Search engine start giving weightage to (https://www.example.us)

Each of the domains has a GSC account? You should be able to target them each separately in GSC.

besides geotargeting in GSC, I would suggest implementing link rel hreflang elements, specifying the proper language-COUNTRY variants for each url such as en-US.
