Anormal Rankings and Visits Change

Hi guys,

Can you help me with this type of issue? Maybe someone here have more experience than me.

Everytime a new google update begins and Semrush sensor goes crazy (like now, 9.2) our website visits and SERP rankings go down.
After full update roll out website surge and even bigger and better rankings than before.

Is it normal or is something else causing this issue?

It is pretty uncommon your website rankings would fall on every single Update, since they target different stuff. Dropping on every update would mean Google always assigns your website to be relevant in a negative meaning to the specific update. As the rankings come back after the algorithm probably whitelists you after a while again.

You should check which specific updates made your traffic drop and analyse your site in those regards (e.g. bad backlinks, thin content, ... ). As long as your site recovers pretty fast and to a higher level than before, i wouldn't worry much about this.
