Hi,

I'm going to get some backlinks from some authority domains as reportage posts (buy them!), each post will have 3 dofollow links. Now I'm wondering which one is more effective :

1.Get multiple posts on one domain for example 3 posts which makes 9 backlinks from one high authority domain
2.Get single post on multiple (say 3) sites and get 3 links from each domain

I assume that in both scenarios I will use completely different content for each reportage post and publish them on an irregular time basis.

Thanks and sorry for my English

Multiple links from one domain does not result in more link equity.

What is a "reportage post?" Can you give an example?

Be careful about paying for links because Google has improved their spam identification and is using more AI and machine learning technologies now that is (by feedback I'm hearing) catching more of those kinds of links than before.

thanks for your reply

I mean I write a standard article and that authority sites will publish that (like a guest post) and each post will have maximum of 3 follow links which I can use anywhere inside of articles

Guest posts and paid links are watched hawkishly by g ... the reports of success are very limited compared to the reports of "what happened to my traffic?"

Paid links and guest posts are very short term benefit, if any.

YMMV

Some of those links have a temporary effect and then they stop working.

What everyone dealing with links should be concerned about or at least know, is that it's fairly easy to map out what sites are linking out to sites that are engaged in link manipulation and what happens is that the linking patterns reveal which sites are selling those kinds of links.

  • Link Sellers tend to link to sites that manipulate links, sits that tend to have have poor inbound link patterns.

  • Normal sites don't tend to link to sites that engage in link manipulation.

The linking patterns reveal a lot of information about what sites are selling links.

I wrote about Link Distance Ranking Algorithms [searchenginejournal.com] a couple years ago, it's something everyone who deals with links should be acquainted with in order to gain a beginner level of understanding of what you are up against and why I say that link patterns reveal what sites are selling links.

Google revealed this year that it is using AI to identify link manipulation, which means that the scrutiny has increased.

The original rollout of the Penguin part of google's algorithm in 2012 was a major attack on link buyers, and huge numbers of websites lost a big part of their organic google traffic. In the years since then, google has undoubtedly become even better at detecting link-buying and link-building activities. You could spend a lot of time, effort, and money, yet most likely end up worse off than you were before.
