Early Oct. 9, Google's Crawl Rate Dropped by 94%

Suddenly, the crawl volume of the website dropped by 94% from 0:00 on October 9, including PC, WAP, and all language sites. As of now, there is still no sign of recovery.
Site Type: E-commerce
Site size: hundreds of millions of pages

Do you have any good suggestions?
Did Google update the algorithm, or some other reason?

"hundreds of millions of pages" that seems insanely high number of pages...

You also don't mention how much traffic you did receive before this. If it was a couple hundred visits a day or less (which most likely is not if you have millions of pages) then 94% of traffic could be wiped out due to a small change in ranking.

If you get thousands or more visits a day then a traffic drop like that most likely deals with some sort of penalty by Google or possibly a major core update.

Since there has been no core update recently you most likely have a penalty. Log into your Google Search Console to check.

First of all, what I want to say is not a decline in traffic, but a 94% decline in crawling. During the decline, traffic increased. After reading Google’s algorithm changes, there is no recent algorithm update for crawling, so it’s strange.
