Redirected Pages in Search command query

Hi,

When I run search command query for my website like site:mysite.com then it shows many pages those have redirected couple years ago and less important pages in top 30 results. Redirected pages are neither in my site's XML nor HTML sitemaps.

I am seeing such results from long time. Any idea why it is happening?

Because Google gotta Google. There are a few recent threads touching on problems with the site: operator, but most people will find it's not worth the trouble to even think about it.
