I know that many people use the term "landing page" to refer to a special page created just for an ad campaign.

But I've always thought of it as the page that a visitor happens to land on, especially a visitor coming from the search results. Oftentimes it's the first page on the site that the visitor has ever seen. So all the indexed pages on a site should be designed to try to quickly grab the visitor's attention, or at least make a good first impression.

Of course this would also apply to an ad campaign.

And use natural language on your landing page where uppercase is only used at the beginning of sentences and in other locations where the capitalization of your language require it.

... and make sure there’s some text, no matter what kind of site it is.

The front page of my art studio's site used to have just a big picture--it's an art studio, after all--and big clear links to all the specialized pages. G decided that https://example.com/ was a “soft 404”. Really. I added a single sentence, and they were content.

Simple- You need to understand the essence of your customer.

Tailor it to their challenges and how what you offer can solve it.

That sums it up!

@Akhilesh Singh ... Welcome to Webmasterworld.

Every page is a "landing page" and each page on site is representative of the site itself. Focus on getting your BRAND out at first glance, that every page is a GATEWAY to the rest of the site, and that CALL TO ACTION links to the site are clearly and easily accessible.

Meanwhile, the page MUST SATISFY the serp result that brought the visitor to you "landing page".

You only get ONE SHOT (about 8 seconds) to get the visitor to click through INTO THE SITE, else no joy.
