Google News: Some Pages of Our Site Updated Instantly, Others Not

Hey, I run a sports website and our articles in like three categories get posted to google news and google almost immediately. However, our baseball and basketball articles haven’t been updated in GN for 5+ days now and take awhile to get onto google itself

Any ideas on what this could be?

I've noticed the same issue/quirk with Google News. It also extends to what may appear in the carousel when you search for your brand name.

Are you searching site:domainname to determine this or how are you checking?
And were you approved on the old or new publisher centre system?
